The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort

Hapuna was a beautiful, uncrowded place with one of the best beaches on the Hawaiian Islands, two world class golf courses five minutes away and consistently sunny weather. It is a perfect, relaxing vacation spot. The hotel was luxurious without being pretentious and was a very good value for the price we obtained (I believe it was a discounted rate this year probably due to the economy) . Children will love the beach and there is some interesting wildlife around; sea turtles, whales (in season), dolphins, wild turkeys, wild goats and even an adorable wild pig on the Hapuna golf course. A great vacation experience.

Because the hotel was far below capacity only one restaurant day was open and they were very expensive. There was no casual cafe and the golf course restaurant was completely closed! We had to drive to a nearby town or resort to eat most nights. This really wasn't so bad...if you have a car.

The ladies on the cleaning staff are friendlier than the other hotel staffers. The pool and beach are lovely.

There is no complimentary morning coffee bar. The distance to and from the beach and pool is quite lengthy. The restaurant food is bland and below average in quality for the price. The staff is not overly friendly or gracious.

Friendliness of the staff. Proximity ot the fabulous beach. The fact that is isolated from the business of some of the so-called major hotels which are more like Disneyland.

I have spent ten minutes trying to think of something I didn't like and I can't come up with anything.

Really tranquil, not pushy or overstated. Very accommodating. Incredible beach and pool area. All staff very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend to adult travelers.

newly decorated and air-conditioned room, luxurious bathroom with a bathtub. early check in and late check out. excellent coffee and lemonade in the coffee bar, free parking place.

Breakfast buffet.

No reliable morning newspaper. Evening buffets incredibly overpriced. Front desk staf was too lazy to deliver items I had faxed to the hotel that other hortels would usully bring to the room.

A very good (and big) hotel near of one of the most beautifull beach of Big Island! I suggest the rooms ocean front!

You cannot pay 400$ per night and find an old cathode-tube tv inside an wardrobe! A 5 stars hotel must have the newest lcd/led tv! Apart from that, the room and bathroom are very nice!

The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort features fine ocean views and a spacious room with a large balcony. The gym is excellent with a variety of cardio and weight training options, easy to maintain my fitness routine. The grab-and-go options at the coffee bar provided convenient and fresh meals during my busy work schedule.

Resort fees and customer service could be improved.

I did like the view from the room. I did like the beach which is one of the most beautifull beaches on the big island. I did like very good breakfasts with wide variety of the offer.

Location was fabulous. Price was right.

Room seems outdated. Hotel was practically empty but no upgrade offered. Walk to room was very blah design-wise.

This resort is perfect for me with amenities like a heated swimming pool, spa, and beach access. The staff once helped me find a great food delivery option. I'm coming back for a holiday!

Location next to Waikoloa Village, Waikoloa Beach, or Kawaihae, and the south tower. Also, to the Hapuna beach resort from reading all the reviews about the construction noise.

Room Locations confusing. Parking - I got lost ? Bit pricey. Generally tho - - - we were very happy with nearly all.

Fine views greet you upon entering, and the seamless check-in makes for an excellent start. The breakfast buffet is expansive with delicious options, while the pools and beach access are impeccably maintained.
